Q&A: If accommodation isn’t included, where should I stay?
We have a singular focus. Delivering the best heli-ski experience of your life.
But we know your holiday has other moving parts, and we can help set the stage by connecting you with local resources and local knowledge, so it’s the trip you’re looking for from wheels down at YYC.
Here’s what I’d recommend for places to stay at Kicking Horse.
Which sounds like you?
Heli-skiing is my only focus too. I want max convenience and integration with your program.
Our meeting point is the Winston Lodge, a boutique property right in the base area of Kicking Horse. The Winston and its sister property, the Copper Horse (located right next door) are the most convenient base camp for those here to fly.
We can even set up your booking for you at the same time as your heli-ski seats.
My trip includes frontcountry days at Kicking Horse, and I want ski-in/out access to the lifts.
Who doesn’t love NOT carrying your gear?
You can choose efficient and affordable one- and two-bedroom condos at the Glacier/Mountaineer (the views in all directions are great), higher-end and quieter at the Palliser, or stretch out in a fully furnished town home at the Whispering Pines.
I want space and amenities beyond the typical hotel experience. A kitchen, a living room, a private hot tub.
If you’re a group of three or more, a private chalet is likely within reach. Stone fireplaces, gear rooms, gourmet kitchens, deluxe walk-in showers – make your home on the mountain and have all the space you could ever need.
Some places are nearly ski-in/out, some will be a minute or two drive from the gondola and our meeting point.
